Requirements
for CRLA Master/Level III Certification
- Minimum of ten hours of tutor training beyond Level II (30 cumulative hours)

In addition to reviewing the topics covered in Level I and II, a minimum of four
(4) of the following topics should be covered in Level III training.
The exact time spent on each may vary.

Types of
Training

General Workshop
– Time 4 hours – Review of
selected Levels I and II topics

Supervisor Workshop
– Time 2 hours (small group) (can be one or two workshops as needed.

Mode - Interactive discussion and film.

Tutors complete the reading and assignments for two Training Manual
topics listed below.

Supervisors arrange space and time to do a small group interactive
discussion about the topics for which students have done the assignments.

Attendance verification sheets required.

Independent Study
- To fulfill required hours, tutors should complete additional topics by working
independently, completing the assignments, and having a conference with
discipline Coordinator. (supervisor)
