Course Description

This course is intended for students with no previous experience in writing programs. This is an essential first course for data processing majors. It will introduce the fundamentals of computer usage, covering topics such as editor functions, files (batch and interactive) and program compilation and execution. Students will be taught algorithm design using structured flow chart and pseudo-coding techniques. We will be using C++ as the demonstration language.

This course includes the Myers-Briggs instruction thread.

 

Prerequisites

MAT 1033 with a grade of "C" or better or satisfactory score on the mathematics placement test.
