Online students  cover two chapters per week. For each chapter they must submit an activity and usually take two weekly chapter tests online at the blackboard site. Online students have a final exam which is also given at the blackboard site (8 week course).

Lecture Students cover one chapter a week and the activities are done in class.

Physical Geology is a hybrid course that meets on Friday morning. This is a 4 credit course and includes a lab. Weekly tests are done online and activities are done in class.

All three courses can count for physical science or earth science credit.
