Design an experiment to determine whether

1) cold water or hot water has a higher density

2) fresh water or salt water has a higher density.

Remember that dense objects sink and less dense objects float. Even if you know the answer, next week, bring me a description of your experiment as well as the results.

You can do it in a bucket, a sink or a bathtub. You will need salt, food coloring, hot water and cold water.
