   1)  Read the lecture notes and the section of the text that discusses the concept.

   2)  Think about the concept while you are doing other tasks like mowing the grass, cleaning the house etc.

3) Explain the concept to someone else, even if its your dog.

4) Before the test, take the diagnostic tests at http://wps.prenhall.com/esm_tarbuck_escience_11, to get used to the "test bank" wording.   Don't bother memorizing the answers to the diagnostic test. They are designed to point out your areas of weakness. You will not see this questions on your unit tests.
