DOABLE DEMO: Newspaper Mummies to Determine Surface Area, in this
fun, instructive activity, a volunteer is carefully taped with newspaper and
then the area of the newspaper determined to compute how much atmospheric
pressure presses down on the volunteer. This is an excellent activity for
discussing experimental error and atmospheric pressure. Why is it we don’t feel
the weight of the atmosphere?
