On-campus Orientation Meeting For Fall Term 2009Coming to the on-campus orientation is
recommended, though it is not mandatory as some students live too far away to attend. We will go over the course syllabus, access procedures, honor code, grading, and assignment/project requirements.
If you cannot make the on-campus orientation, no problem. All the
information is also at our online course site. Please contact me via email (mbarber@fccj.edu) with any questions you have
before the class start date. Once the online class is made available
to you, use only the messaging system in Blackboard to contact me,
not my regular email. [Note: It will be more meaningful for you if you can bring your text books to the meeting.]

Course Management Tool For Fall Term 2009The on-line software application used to conduct my on-line classes is
Blackboard (http://bb.fscj.edu). How to Get Started
Make sure you have a FSCJ user-id and password. (To obtain one, go to
www.fccj.edu , Online Services, then
Student Logon. You will be at the Connections site; just follow
the directions on the screen.) Your user-id and password will allow
access into all FSCJ online resources including our course at bb.fscj.edu.
When you access the course for the first time, be sure to read the
introduction, announcements, assignments, and messages. Your first action steps will be
listed there.
