Application Software:

The application software required for this course is downloaded from Microsoft for free. We will be using the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition integrated development environment (IDE).

Also, in the front of the book is an access code for the Cyber Classroom. If you are new to programming, the Cyber Classroom can be an essential tool for success in this course. If you buy a used book and the access code is not there, it can be purchased at additional cost online.

System Requirements:

Personal Computer

Windows XP or Vista

300 MB of disk space

256-512 MB of RAM (This is the application requirement...not the total system requirement to run smooth)

CD-ROM drive

Sound card support (optional)

Internet connection with an Internet Service Provider (for example, Comcast, AT&T, etc.)

(Note: If you plan to meet me on-campus, bring your programming project with you on a USB Flash drive.)
