COURSE EVALUATION/GRADING: There will be 3 exams and one final in this course.  No make up exams will be administered.  Homework will be collected every Tuesday and Thursday.  Test 1 will be on May 14, test 2 on June 3, and test 3 on June 12.  The final exam will be administered on June 25.  Homework will comprise 20% of the grade; each exam and the final will also comprise 20%, for a total of 100%.  Breakdown of letter grades is as follows:

A:  90 – 100%

B:  80 – 89%

C:  70 – 79%

D:  60 – 69%

F:     0 – 59%

FN: Failure for non-attendance

NA: Dropped from the class for non-attendance

Withdrawals:  Please see above schedule for pertinent dates for NA and FN grades, as well as the deadline date for class withdrawal.  If you decide to withdraw from the class, please see the instructor for a signature.

Incompletes:  Only in rare instances will an incomplete be given.  At the very least, the student must complete 75% of the assigned course work.  A request for an “I” must be made in writing at least two weeks prior to the second exam.  A request does not guarantee an approval for an incomplete.

Late assignments:  For every day an assignment is late, a 25% penalty will be assessed.  If an assignment is more than 4 days late (one week), it WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Make up exams will only be given if a student knows in advance that he or she will not be able to take an exam.  In this case it is their responsibility to inform the professor prior to the scheduled exam date, and why.  Arrangements will then be made for alternative arrangements.
