To Use Your Voicemail
Your new phone is connected to a different voicemail
system, called Unity. The extension to reach the voicemail system is 8960 or
your extension. For example, if you phone number is 632-1234, dial 1234 from
any phone. From outside the college, dial 357-8960 - Your ID is your four
digit phone number then press #, enter your password then press # key.
When calling from your own phone, you press the
"messages" button and enter your password then press # key.
If you are not at your own CISCO phone and wish to check
your voicemail, dial 8960, then enter your extension and press # key, then
enter your password and press # key.

VOICEMAIL Password
Your initial Password has been set to '1 2
3 4 5'. You are required to change this password upon initial login. Change your password (minimum of four
numbers) to a personal number you will remember. We suggest you record your
name and greeting at the same time Think twice before asking to have your
password reset. A password can only be used once during a twelve month
period, so choose wisely

To change your
password:
- Dial
the voicemail system
- Enter
'4, 3, 1'
- Enter
your new password and then '#'
- Enter
your new password again for confirmation and then '#'
To
record your name:
- Dial
the voicemail system
- Enter
'4, 3, 2'
- Record
your name at the tone, or press " * " to keep the current
recording
To
record your greeting:
- Dial
the voicemail system
- Enter
'4, 1, 1'
- Unity
will play your current greeting, afterwards, press '1' to re-record
it or press '3' if you wish to record a greeting. Select the
greeting, and then rerecord it.
You’re
greeting settings:
- STANDARD
GREETING - Normally plays during working hours, but can be overridden by
other greetings.
- CLOSED
GREETING - This greeting plays during non-working hours, and overrides the
Standard Greeting during these times.
- INTERNAL
GREETING - This greetings plays only to callers from within the college
and overrides both the Standard Greeting and Closed Greeting.
- BUSY
GREETING - This greeting plays only when you are on your phone and will
override the above greetings.
- ALTERNATE
GREETING - This greeting plays to indicate special circumstances, such as
illness or vacation. This Greeting will override all other greetings
when enabled.
To
enable or disable a greeting:
- Dial
the voicemail system.
- Press
'4, 1, 1'.
- After
your current greeting is played, press 2 to enable or disable your Alternate
Greeting.
