Kiala Givehand is the third place short story winner in this year's Flamingo Writer contest for her piece, "Chasing Memories." She is a native Floridian living in Oakland, California
with her husband Damon. Kiala studied creative writing at FCCJ with Professor Matt Lany in 2008 and was recently accepted to an MFA program for Creative Writing.
