The Summer Arts Institute is a unique summer program for Creative Youth between the ages of 13 - 17. This program runs for two weeks each summer at Florida Community College's South Campus located at 11901 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville, Florida. This is the fifth year the College will run this program. The Summer Arts Institute accepts students who have demonstrated talent or potential talent in their chosen art form. Students are expected to display social responsibility, motivation, and commitment to their art form as well as the ability to work at an intensive pace. Highlighted arts: Acting/Improvisation, Creative Writing/Playwriting, Black and White Photography, Digital Photography, Graphic Arts/Cartooning, Drawing and Painting, Ceramics, Sculpture, Printmaking, Mixed Media and more. Each student chooses to study one art form each morning for two weeks. In the afternoons each student chooses to study a different art form each week. In addition Summer Arts Institute (SAI) students design, write and create a Multidisciplinary Project that spans all the arts taught and includes all of its students. Do you have what it takes?
