Grading and Evaluation: At least three (3) tests will be given. All assigned work and tests will be evaluated on appearance, accuracy, completeness, and quality of work. Refer to the assignment sheet for assignment and test due dates. (The assignment sheet may be adjusted to fit class needs.) You are responsible for submitting assignments and completing tests by the scheduled dates. Assignments or tests submitted after the scheduled dates will be assessed a 20-point deduction for each day that the assignment or test is late. The final test will not be accepted after the due date.

Your final grade will be based on:

Correct keying techniques, keyboard mastery, timely lesson completion
Tests
3-minute timed writings with a 3-error limit (3 required within a grade level)

Each of the above elements will count as one-third of your final grade evaluation.

Scale for the 3-minute timed writings

35 + = A
30 - 34 = B
25 - 29 = C
20 - 24 = D

If you have had no previous keyboarding experience, you may need to schedule additional practice to meet the course objectives and speed requirements.
