(Incomplete) grade. |
|
If you have not logged into the
course by January 19, 2010, you
will be given the NA
(non-attendance) grade. |
|
Quizzes:
Quizzes can be found by clicking
on "Quizzes" on the homepage,
then clicking on the appropriate
quiz. You will have one (1) hour
to take an online quiz.
Blackboard does not
automatically stop accepting
answers after the one-hour time
limit. Therefore, if you go over
the one-hour time limit (even by
one second) you will receive a
zero (0) for the quiz. Also, a 1
minute warning will be
displayed. When you receive this
1 minute warning, I strongly
suggest that you click on
Save, and then click on
Submit. Once you begin
taking a quiz, you cannot exit
the quiz and return to it. Each
quiz contains forty (40)
multiple-choice questions.
Quizzes will be available for a
week. For example, Quiz 1 will
be available from 8:00 AM
January 11, 2010 until 11 PM
January 19, 2010. If you have
not taken Quiz 1 by 11 PM on
January 19, 2010, you will
receive a grade of zero (0) for
the quiz. There will be no
make-up quizzes for any reason. |
|
Assignments:
Assignments can be found by
clicking on "Course Content" on
the homepage, then click on the
appropriate chapter, and then
click on the chapter assignment.
Instructions for turning in
assignments are given
when you click on the chapter
assignment. The
due dates for assignments are
established above. Assignments
will be accepted until 11:00 PM
of the due date. They will not
be accepted after that (even if
it is 11:01 PM). If the
assignment is late, you will
receive zero (0) points for the
assignment.

Academic Honesty:
Florida State College’s Academic
Dishonesty Policy is stated in
full in the course catalog. Here
are some statements from that
document defining academic
dishonesty, plagiarism, and due
process:
“1. Academic dishonesty is
considered a serious offense and
is expressly prohibited. This
policy includes all course
assessment, related assignments
and all standardized tests.”
“2. Plagiarism… is defined as
the act of stealing or passing
off as one’s own work the words,
ideas, or conclusions of another
as if the work submitted were
the product of one’s own
thinking rather than an idea or
product derived from another
source.. .”
“Any student alleged to have
committed any act of academic
dishonesty as defined herein,
shall be entitled to due process
as defined in District Board of
Trustees Rule 6Hx7-2.18, prior
to the administration of
disciplinary action including
suspension and dismissal.”

|
Time Zones:
I am in the Eastern time zone.
If you are in a different time
zone, you must send in your
assignments according to the
Eastern time zone. For example:
If it is 11:00 PM in the Eastern
time zone, then it is 10:00 PM
in the Central time zone, 9:00
PM in the Mountain time zone,
and 8:00 PM in the Pacific time
zone. |
